Born in a Pub, Built for More
The idea for the INEOS Grenadier was famously “born in a pub.” In 2017, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, founder of INEOS, was having a conversation with friends at the The Grenadier in London. Frustrated that there was no longer a simple, rugged 4x4 built for serious off-road use, Ratcliffe proposed building one from scratch. What started as a pub conversation quickly turned into a global engineering project. The vehicle that grew from that idea was named after the very place where the concept began the Grenadier designed to deliver the toughness, utility, and no-nonsense capability that traditional off-road enthusiasts had been missing.
